Third studio album — a vital folk-rock songbook dedicated to love and friendship. Each song addresses someone different to exalt the bond between them; optimistic lyrics, far from the tortured singer-songwriter stereotype. Catalan, English and Italian, including an Italian version of Quico Pi de la Serra’s “L’home del carrer”.

How do you record the sonic identity of a place? Self-produced songs drawn from the stories and sounds of Farrera in the Pyrenees — medieval pieces like “Confessions de Sta. Eulàlia” (with Roger Mas), legends like “Minairons”, and rural life in “Farrera” and “Nen del bosc”. Fleeing crowds to rediscover origins in nature — the seed of the Denomination of Origin project.

Debut after the radio success of “L’Espantaocells” and a run at Sona 9. “Stat Jònic” is a cocktail of folk and rock, led by a raw, singular voice. The title evokes a state of transition, a point suspended between going back and moving forward. In 2011, three tracks from the album were part of the soundtrack for TV3’s Polseres Vermelles.
